She was nominated by her campus staff, who say that Ajriana is a "hardworking 8th grader who always has a smile and is willing to help out in any way she can. She consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing her best both in the classroom and beyond. Ajriana is also heavily involved in athletics, competing in multiple sports throughout the year, and brings that same dedication and team-first mindset to everything she does. Her positive attitude and kind spirit make her someone others enjoy being around, and she is always quick to lend a helping hand to both classmates and staff."

"Mrs. Lucherk is the best because she always shows up to school! Even if it's a good day or a bad day, she shows so much love to me, and I appreciate her so much! She gives us popcorn, and she pays for it with her own money! Even though she does not get that much money in her job, she uses some of it on us. Oh, and did I say that she lives all the way in Brenham? That's 40 min away from school, so she has to wake up so early to come care for us, and the hardest part is that she has to always stay in a good mood! If I were her, I would probably be fired by now!" -Student

This year brought a new challenge with his Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis, and she has gone above and beyond to care for him, support him, and help him feel safe and confident at school.
